Author Guidelines

Articles

Manuscripts submitted to Awry should be between 5,000 - 10,000 words (not including references). Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Edition). Preparation guidlines and additional information on APA Style are available here.

Book Reviews

Awry publishes two types of book reviews:

1) Regular Book Reviews (800 - 1,000 words) and

2) Review Essays (reviewing multiple books on a specific topic).

Books should be newly released (within the last year) and should engage with critical psychological scholarship in a meaningful way. While we typically solicit book reviews, we also invite suggestions for books to be reviewed as well as self-nominations of reviewers.  If you would like to suggest a book to be reviewed, please contact one of our Book Review Editors
